IDC Communications SMS Terms and Conditions

Effective March 17, 2026

These SMS Terms and Conditions govern text message communications sent by IDC Communications Inc. (“IDC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) to customers who have opted in by completing and signing the IDC Communications Text Message Consent Form at any IDC Communications location.

By signing the consent form and checking one or more program checkboxes, you agree to these SMS Terms and our Privacy Policy at idccommunications.com/privacy-policy.

Consent to receive SMS messages is never required as a condition of purchasing any product or service from IDC Communications.

How You Opted In

You opted in by completing and signing the IDC Communications Text Message Consent Form in person at an IDC Communications location. The form identified the message types and estimated frequency for each program before your consent was given. Your signature confirmed that you are the owner or authorized user of the mobile number provided. No messages are sent until your signed form is received and recorded in our system.

Program 1 — Informational Messages

Program Name: IDC Communications Informational SMS Program

Message Types: Purchase confirmations for Total Care+ protection plans, coverage details, plan benefit reminders (including free screen protector replacements), service notifications, account updates, and customer support communications.

Message Frequency: Up to 4 messages per month depending on account activity.

Message and data rates may apply. IDC Communications does not charge for SMS messages.

Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time. You will receive one final confirmation and no further messages will be sent.

Carriers are not liable for any delayed or undelivered messages.

Program 2 — Promotional / Marketing Messages

Program Name: IDC Communications Promotional SMS Program

Message Types: Total Care+ renewal reminders, promotional offers, contract end-of-term notifications, plan upgrade opportunities, and new product and service announcements.

Message Frequency: Up to 4 messages per month.

Message and data rates may apply. IDC Communications does not charge for SMS messages.

Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time. You will receive one final confirmation and no further messages will be sent.

Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us at Communications@idccomm.mb.ca or 1-800-474-7771.

Carriers are not liable for any delayed or undelivered messages.

How to Opt Out

You may opt out of either or both programs at any time using any of the following methods:

  • Text STOP to any IDC Communications message. One final confirmation will be sent and no further messages will follow.
  • Call us at 1-800-474-7771 and request removal from SMS communications.
  • Email Communications@idccomm.mb.ca with your phone number and opt-out request.
  • Visit any IDC Communications location in person and request removal.

To re-enroll after opting out, you must complete a new written consent form at any IDC Communications location.

Your Privacy

Your mobile phone number and SMS opt-in consent will not be sold or shared with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Your number is used solely to deliver the messages you have consented to receive. SMS consent records are stored securely in accordance with the IDC Communications Privacy Code and applicable law.

Supported Carriers

IDC Communications SMS messages are supported on all major US and Canadian carriers. Carrier availability is not guaranteed for all regional carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Changes to These Terms

IDC Communications reserves the right to modify these SMS Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via SMS before taking effect. The most current version of these terms will always be available at idccommunications.com. Continued receipt of messages after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
